Event Terms and Conditions
Booking terms and conditions
Your place will be secured when SIM receives your completed booking form and your payment. When it receives these items SIM will assume that you accept these terms and conditions. SIM reserves the right to refuse the attendance of any individual to this event at its discretion.
Retreat: Any payment made on or before the final payment date specified on the event information page will be fully refundable in the event of a cancellation. If no date is specified, the final payment date will be deemed to be ten days prior to the start of the event.
After this date, no refund for a retreat is possible except under special circumstances - such as the death of a loved one including companion animal or serious illness or accident affecting the yourself or loved one - as SIM is required to submit a final list and payment to the venue managers and pay for your attendance in full.
Workshop: Full refund up to three days before the workshop, after which no refund except under special circumstances.
If you wish to apply for a Special Circumstance Refund first read these Terms and Conditions, and then email the Secretary of the SIM committee outlining your circumstances.
Your request will be brought to the SIM committee, and you will be contacted regarding the outcome within a month of your email. You will not receive the full amount of the fee paid. Deductions will be made for expenses that have been incurred on your behalf.
Transport to the venue:
SIM does not provide transport to the venue and is not responsible for organising transport.
We may collect information at booking to find out who needs or can offer a lift and will then seek to put these parties in contact with each other to privately finalise these arrangements for themselves.
Concessions and payment difficulties
Concessions apply to full-time students, pensioners and unemployed.
Fee assistance and scholarships are available to all SIM retreats. Click here for more information.
SIM's bookings coordinator and retreat manager aim to do all that they can to act impartially in the interests of all attendees so as to ensure they have the most positive experience available to them with respect to the venue and other attendees.
Occasionally disputes may arise. When this happens before the retreat, the decision of the bookings coordinator and the committee is final. Once a retreat has begun, SIM's authority is vested in the retreat manager until the conclusion of the retreat. Their decision is final. Complaints may be addressed to the SIM committee after the event.
