New Year Insight Meditation Retreat
Photo from 2012 retreat, by Yuko.
The 2012 retreat was really wonderful ...
.. inclusive, deep reflection, grief surfacing, tears, .. daily guided meditation sessions, much laughter, morning yoga, daily bush walks, amazing food, extraordinary generosity by teachers in offering so many individual and group interviews, unusual diversity in retreatants, and in the very different traditions of each of the teachers, much poetry, and a NY eve fire in the meditation hall. In the closing circle many people ... retreatants and teachers alike, reported they'd never been to a retreat anything like this before.
MUCH appreciation for the hard working SIM volunteers who enable such retreats…..Suzanne Atherton, Co-Retreat Manager, 2012.
In keeping with the 2,500 year old tradition the teachers are not paid for teaching the dharma. Dana is the practice of generosity through which we offer donations to our teachers as a sign of our respect for the teaching and it's value in our lives.
You will have the opportunity to practise dana during this retreat.
