This five-day silent residential retreat offers the opportunity for you to experience the teachings of the Buddha using the body as a gateway for insight and freedom.
The retreat will guide you in cultivating embodied self-awareness, rediscovering the organic rhythm of your being as a source of clarity and profound freedom. Connecting and trusting your inner rhythm becomes a foundation, empowering you to face life's challenges with intimacy, balance and ease. The program will consist of various practices. At the core will be Insight Meditation practices which include guided meditation, walking meditation and talks reflecting the teachings of the Buddha. These will be supported by somatic practices (the Greek word soma means the body). These practices are designed to deepen the connection between body and mind as a way to support awakening, concentration and ease of body-mind-heart. We will also be offering Mindful Movement sessions. These sessions are adapted from Biodanza, a profound methodology that supports learning to dance with life and rediscovering our vitality and the pleasure of living. About the venue
For those coming in person, the retreat will be held at the Brahma Kumaris Centre for Spiritual Learning in Wilton, NSW, approximately 80 minutes’ drive from Sydney. Accommodation is in comfortable twin share rooms with en-suites. Serene gardens and bushland surround the meditation centre.

Alan Bassal - Click here for information Renata Malinauskas - Click here for information 'The value of embodiment and somatic practices of Mindful Movement and TRE paired with meditation practices cannot be understated. Bringing attention deeply into the body using somatic methods facilitates inquiry at a depth I have never before experienced.' 'Nourishing, that would be the word for my experience at this retreat. Alan and Renata’s mindfulness of movement sessions were the highlight. The movement practices complemented each other so well and were balanced with stillness practice' |
