Retreat Scholarships

At Sydney Insight Meditators we wish to ensure that financial hardship is not a barrier to anyone wanting to attend any of its retreats.

Our goal in administering scholarships is to balance our intention to make it possible for anyone to attend, with mindful stewardship of SIM resources. We hope that everyone applying for scholarships will understand that the questions we ask in this form are solely for this purpose. As with any act of dana (generosity), both the giver & the receiver of the gift can accrue benefit based on their intentions. We ask only that everyone keep that in mind in requesting assistance.

We wish to extend as much assistance as we can, although we can not guarantee meeting the full financial need of applicants.

Scholarships are granted at the discretion of the SIM committee – people who volunteer their time and skills to help organize Insight Meditation retreats, workshops and talks.
