About Us
Sydney Insight Meditators (SIM) is a not-for-profit association supporting the practice of Insight Meditation, a practice that the Buddha founded over 2500 years ago. SIM supports affiliated sanghas (meditation groups) in Sydney and regional areas and organises workshops, talks and retreats led by Australian-based and international meditation teachers. It also hosts this website and a newsletter which play a vital role in informing members and other interested people of its activities. All the operations of SIM are run entirely by volunteers.

SIM AGM
The Sydney Insight Meditators annual general meeting is held every July. Only SIM registered members are entitled to nominate committee members and to vote at the SIM Annual General Meeting.
The SIM Annual General Meeting is an opportunity to discuss past SIM events as well as SIM's plans for the following year. It is also an opportunity to express interest in joining the SIM committee or supporting the SIM community.
We welcome new Committee members. The committee meets every 2 months over dinner to manage SIM and plan and manage our program of activities.
