Signing up for a SIM Membership is a way for us all to show our support for SIM, to stay in touch beyond what SIM communicates in our free newsletter, and to be in a position to see, know and to possibly contribute towards what SIM does behind the scenes to make everything we do a reality. And for some it includes having a chance to play a role in helping steer SIM through the process of change as well.
The financial aspect of membership helps to provide for the minimal costs that we carry as an organisation. The memberships we received last year, for example, come pretty close to matching the cost of last year's public liability insurance that we provide to our Sanghas, which in turn enables them to hire community buildings etc and to come together more generally.

Membership is based on the financial year. Any members that sign up after 1 January each year will have their membership extended to cover the following financial year as well.

Annual Members Meeting - July/Aug 2026
The SIM Annual Members Meeting is an opportunity to hear from each of our Sanghas on their journey over the past year, to hear about SIM events from the past year, as well as to discuss SIM's plans for next year and other topics of interest.
This is also an opportunity to express an interest in joining the SIM committee or
supporting the SIM community. The committee meets every 2-3 months over dinner to manage SIM and to plan and manage our program of activities.
When: July/Aug 2026 - Date and time TBC
Time: 10:00-11:15am
Open Discussion 11:15-11:45am

Where: Online via Zoom
(meeting link TBA)
Sydney Insight Meditators acknowledges the Gadigal, Dharug and Dharawal peoples, the traditional custodians of the lands on which SIM is located. We acknowledge their ongoing connection to the land, water, sky, and animals. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present, and emerging.
