Introduction to Meditation & Buddha's teachings

Are you curious about meditation and would like an opportunity to try it? Have you ever wondered what the teachings of the Buddha are all about?
This 3 evening program is designed to give you just that. It will introduce you to a number of meditation and mindfulness practices and will provide an overview of Buddha’s teachings, a timeless wisdom that is as relevant today as ever.
The first two weeks have already happened but you can join us for the last session on Sunday April 22.

The Program
1st evening - What is it all about?
An understanding of meditation and mindfulness practices
The life and times of the historical Buddha
2nd evening - Four Noble Truths
Meditation practices continued.
The Buddha’s teaching on the Four Noble Truths is the key to understanding how we cause our suffering and how to free ourselves from the cycle of reactivity and pain so we can live with genuine happiness and well being.
3rd evening - The Eight-fold Path
Meditation practices continued.
The Eight-fold Path directs our journey towards living with wisdom, compassion, and peace. From Buddha’s perspective every aspect of our life is to be included as a vehicle for awakening.
