The Ground on Which I Stand:
An Online Contemplative Writing Retreat

During this time of global upheaval and transformative potential, contemplative writing is a powerful resource.  As in sitting/walking meditation, we can drop into a space of not-knowing from which the body’s innate wisdom can arise.  Then the words that flow through the hand to the page offer a fresh way of being with even our most difficult experiences.
In a safe community of shared silence, writing practices, and mindful discussion,  the Buddhist teachings on the Five Remembrances will offer guidance and refuge throughout our retreat:
 * I am of the nature to grow old.
 * I am of the nature to have ill health.
 * I am of the nature to die.
* All that is dear to me and everyone I love are of the nature to change.
 * My actions are my only true belongings, the ground on which I stand.

About the Online Format
This will be an online retreat. If possible, it is best if you can clear all else from your schedule and attend the retreat fully as you would in a meditation centre. But in this difficult COVID-19 time, you may have to juggle responsibilities, so the retreat will offer flexibility for those who need to be away for some of the day.
