Event Terms and Conditions
Booking terms and conditions Your place will be secured when SIM receives your completed registration form and payment. On receiving your payment SIM will assume that you accept these terms and conditions. SIM reserves the right to refuse the attendance of any individual to this event at its discretion. Cancellation of Booking If 30 days or more before the event - a full refund less $100 admin fee and banking fees. If less than 30 days before the event - No refund unless SIM is successful in replacing your booking. In such case the same $100 cancellation and banking fee applies. Please note: With some venues the cancellation period and the amount refunded could differ as we would be bound by the venues cancellation policy, in such instances this will be made clear on the retreat web page. This is because SIM is required to make payment to the venue and would have paid for your attendance in full. Under special circumstances such as the death of a loved one or serious illness or accident affecting you or loved ones, we will make every effort to negotiate with the venue for the best possible outcome. Refunds of Workshop and On line Retreats: Full refund up to three days before the workshop or start of online retreat, after which no refund except under special circumstances. Well Being and Attendance: For all retreats and events you are fully responsible for your own well being during the retreat and it is up to you to seek the support you need in case difficulties arise from your attendance and or your meditation practice. For physical retreats you are required to sign a Retreat Risk Acknowledgement Form Transport to the venue: SIM does not provide transport to the venue and is not responsible for organising transport. We may collect information at booking to find out who needs or can offer a lift and will then seek to put these parties in contact with each other to privately finalise these arrangements for themselves. Concessions and Payment Support Concessions apply to full-time students, pensioners and unemployed. Scholarships are also available for some retreats. Click here for more information. Disagreement or Disputes SIM's bookings coordinator and retreat manager aim to do all that they can to act impartially in the interests of all attendees so as to ensure they have the most positive experience available to them with respect to the venue and other attendees. Occasionally disputes may arise. When this happens before the retreat, the decision of the bookings coordinator and the committee is final. Once a retreat has begun, SIM's authority is vested in the retreat manager until the conclusion of the retreat. Their decision is final. Complaints may be addressed to the SIM committee after the event. |
